Trossen Robotics is one of the few manipulator makers that publishes a checkout price for everything it sells. That makes it useful to buyers well beyond its own catalog — but only if you read the current store rather than the numbers that have been copied around the web for two years.
We pulled the full Trossen storefront on 3 August 2026 (2,794 product records, USD confirmed at the cart) and cross-checked it against the company's own marketing site and a European distributor the same day.
The line you can actually buy today
The current generation is branded Trossen AI — the company's own banner reads "ALOHA IS NOW TROSSEN AI." These are the in-stock, add-to-cart prices:
| Product | Configuration | Price (USD) | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| WidowX AI | Base | **$2,995.00** | In stock (19 units) |
| WidowX AI | Leader | $3,135.00 | In stock |
| WidowX AI | Follower | $3,445.00 | In stock |
| Solo AI | Base | **$7,995.00** (was $8,495) | In stock |
| Solo AI | With high-performance laptop | $12,145.00 | In stock |
| Stationary AI | Base model | $15,995.00 | Not in stock |
| Mobile AI | No laptop | $22,995.00 | Not in stock |
| TOTL Workstation | RTX 5090 / Core Ultra 9 | $10,995.95 | In stock |
| Dual TRumi Kit | No cameras | $854.96 (was $949.95) | In stock |
| Dual TRumi Kit | With cameras | $1,976.39 (was $2,195.99) | In stock |
The WidowX AI arm is the building block for all of it. Trossen's own product page lists 1.5 kg payload, 700 mm reach, 1,400 mm span, 6 DOF, 1 mm repeatability and 6 kg mass. The three variants are the same arm with different end effectors: Base gets a silicone precision gripper, Leader an ambidextrous hand grip with sliding-rail pinchers, Follower the Base gripper plus an Intel RealSense D405 depth camera and arm mount.
That last one is worth doing the arithmetic on. Follower minus Base is $450. The same RealSense D405 kit sold separately on the same store is $874.92 (a bare IT-D405 is $647.28). If your build needs the camera, buying it inside the arm SKU is the cheaper path by a wide margin.
One banner applies to everything: "All products are built on a per order basis and are not pre-assembled and ready to ship at this time." Treat every price here as a build-to-order price, not a shelf price.
The numbers still circulating are legacy prices
Search for Trossen pricing and you will be handed figures like *ViperX-300 S2 $4,800* and *WidowX-250 $3,100*. Those are not the current line.
The ViperX 300 S is still in the store at $6,742.95, and its own product description reads, in full: "ViperX 300 S Robot Arm 6DOF VIPERX 300 S — LEGACY ARM (LARGE BASE)." It is out of stock. The same is true of the original ALOHA kits: ALOHA Mobile $36,999.95, ALOHA Stationary–Laptop $32,999.95, ViperX ALOHA Follower Arms $7,149.95, WidowX ALOHA Leader Arms $4,949.95 — all listed, all unavailable, all superseded.
Of 2,794 product records in the store, only 591 have any variant in stock. A scraper that does not check availability will happily quote you a robot Trossen stopped selling.
Two price lists from the same company
The marketing site and the store do not agree, and the gap is not small.
trossenrobotics.com/ai runs a "Super Summer Sale" banner (ends 12 August) with five price cards: $2,995, $7,995, $15,995, $22,995 and $854.96. The first two and the last match the store exactly. The middle two — Stationary AI and Mobile AI, the two bimanual platforms — have no in-stock store SKU at all, and the other Stationary AI configurations that are listed run $24,490.95 to $27,495.95.
The TOTL Workstation is the clearest split. The marketing page prices it at $8,495.95 ($8,995.95 less "$500 bundle savings"). The store sells it at $10,995.95 — 29.4% higher — while the $8,995.95 figure survives only as an out-of-stock "TOTL Workstation (Standalone)" listing.
That feeds through to the bundles, which are inconsistent in both directions:
- Solo AI & TOTL Workstation Bundle | SAVE $500 is live at $19,881.90. Solo AI Base ($7,995) plus the store's TOTL ($10,995.95) is $18,990.95 — the "save $500" bundle costs $890.95 more than buying the two separately. Against the marketing page's implied bundle ($7,995 + $8,495.95 = $16,490.95, a price that exists in the store as an out-of-stock SKU), it is $3,390.95 higher.
- WidowX AI & TOTL Workstation Bundle | SAVE $500 goes the other way: $13,041.90 / $13,181.90 / $13,491.90 for Base / Leader / Follower, each exactly $949.05 below the separate total — nearly double the advertised saving.
One more detail worth knowing before you read a strikethrough as a price history: the marketing page's "was $4,545.95" on WidowX AI matches, to the cent, an archived store SKU called WidowX AI (Arm Only) — a different product, not a former price of the $2,995 kit.
What it costs in Europe
Génération Robots (Mérignac, France) lists the same four platforms. Converting at the ECB reference rate of 1 EUR = 1.1485 USD and stripping the 20% French VAT:
| Platform | Trossen US store | Génération Robots (ex-VAT) | ≈ USD | Premium |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| WidowX AI | $2,995 | €4,900.00 | $5,627.65 | **+87.9%** |
| Solo AI | $7,995 | from €13,000.00 | $14,930.50 | +86.8% |
| Stationary AI | $15,995 | from €25,000.00 | $28,712.50 | +79.5% |
| Mobile AI | $22,995 | from €38,500.00 | $44,217.25 | +92.3% |
Tax is already out of these figures and one exchange rate is applied throughout, so neither explains the gap. We take that comparison apart across several brands in our US-versus-Europe pricing study.
How to budget one
A single-arm data-collection setup is $2,995 for the arm and $7,995 for the Solo AI kit that surrounds it. Add compute and you are at $12,145 with the laptop or $18,990.95 with the desktop workstation bought separately. Two-arm work starts at the $15,995 Stationary AI figure the company advertises — but confirm availability and configuration in writing, because that number currently has no buyable SKU behind it.
For how these prices sit against Franka, Kinova and the desktop arms, see our research and teaching arm comparison and the industrial robot arm category page.
