Venture investment in robotics has already hit $18.8 billion in 2026 — ahead of all of 2025 ($15B) and past the 2021 peak of $14.1B, with half the year still to go.
Capital is concentrating in a few large rounds: Rivian spinout Mind Robotics closed a $500M Series A in March and another $400M in May, while Skild AI raised $1.4B in January at a valuation above $14B.
The surge signals continued momentum behind humanoids, AMRs, and AI-driven manipulation. For buyers, more funding upstream generally means faster product cycles and more supplier choice — but also a crowded field where some vendors won't survive to support a multi-year deployment. Weigh a supplier's balance sheet and install base, not just its latest demo.
