J-PANDA (Jinbao) from the Chengdu Humanoid Robot Innovation Center is billed as the first humanoid modelled on the giant panda, blending the animal's charm with a sci-fi look. With 21 degrees of freedom it sings and dances, coordinating voice, motion and expression for warm, three-way interaction. Standing 152cm and weighing 35kg, it's aimed at culture, retail, tourism and sports settings.
