The Y-Hand M1 from Yuequan Bionics is a bionic hand built around what the company claims is a class-leading 38 degrees of freedom. Fingertip precision reaches 0.04mm with a 28.7kg grip, and the five fingers close in about 0.2 seconds, approaching human speed, driven by magnetic direct-drive artificial muscles that shed force on contact. It's built for human-like dexterity such as threading needles, fanning cards and turning pages.
